Deja Vu - Part Deux

I just returned from a weekend trip to Phoenix to look at houses. Janalynn and I dashed out the door on Friday morning in the midst of me finishing some work projects, giving Jim's mom (who graciously agreed to fly down for the weekend and stay with the boys--and keep the house clean the whole time because the buyer of this house wanted to come by and look at it again) last minute instructions, and spending the whole drive to the airport on the phone with our realtor here and others hashing out details of the sale of this house. We arrived in Phoenix, picked up our rental car and drove to met Jim and our realtor to start looking at houses. We saw seven or eight houses that afternoon and I was exhausted by the end of the day. The second day we saw about ten more houses and took a second look at three others. I flew home yesterday morning with Janalynn (who didn't sleep at all on the flight even though it was nap time). We still haven't decided which house to make an offer on for sure. We will probably be homeless for at least a few days on December 10 when this house closes and we have to be out.

I have now been a single parent during the week for over two weeks. It has not been easy. My dryer went out on Thursday of the first week. It was finally fixed yesterday (eleven days later). Luckily I have great neighbors who let me dry many loads of laundry in their dryers. I just need the energy and strength to make it through until the end of December. In the meantime, I have lots to blog about, but no time. Someday I may be able to catch up.
