Happy Easter!

We had a fun Easter. I was able to celebrate by singing in our stake's production of "He is Jesus Christ," which is an Easter Cantata. I enjoyed singing in the choir (which was accompanied by an orchestra and featured narration and soloists). There were weekly rehearsals for a couple of months, which took a lot of time, but it was a wonderful way to feel the true meaning of Easter and the Atonement and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jim was able to attend the Saturday night performance and we were able to enjoy dinner alone afterwards, which was a rare treat.
The Easter bunny came on Saturday morning (just like he used to at Mommy's house when she was growing up) and left some buckets, toys, and candy. J.D. and Jake have been wanting fishing poles to go and fish at the pond near our house, so the Easter bunny obliged.

Since church was so early and I had to leave early for choir practice, we never got a picture of the kids in their Easter outfits. They did look cute. Oh well. After church we had an Easter egg hunt in our backyard with our neighbors. Joey found two eggs, then he just wanted to eat the "cannie." J.D. and Jake loved finding as many eggs as they could.
Here's a group shot of the egg hunters:
Here's Joey and his two eggs:

We also got some confetti eggs again for this year because the kids love to break them on each other's heads (and Daddy's).
After the egg hunt, we had a nice relaxing dinner with our neighbors and enjoyed the beautiful weather.
