Hoedown!!!

Each of the younger grades (Kindergarten through 2nd grade) at J.D.'s school puts on a Hoedown for their parents every year. J.D. has been coming home and telling us all about the dances and songs he has been learning for the past few months. He was also really excited to dress up in his cowboy hat and boots (we figured the boots were an okay investment since we have three boys to wear them to all the Hoedowns over the years). He had a bit of a hard time walking and dancing in the boots, but he did a pretty good job. Here are some pics and some video. (There is more for the grandparents to see when they come to visit, so I won't post it all and bore you all.)

Some square dancing (For some reason I can't figure out, this video takes a while to buffer, so after you push play it plays for a few seconds, then pauses, then starts up again after about 20 seconds).

At the very end, the parents join the kids for the chicken dance. Jim joined J.D. Unfortunately, my video camera ran out of batteries and I had to film it with my point and shoot, which didn't work very well. So, here are a couple of still shots.

ah, is that Forest Creek Elementary? Cooper had his hoedown there! It's so cute, but very crowed. I had a hard time getting pictures since he was in the middle of the group.

J.D. is adorable! But then again, so are all your boys!
