J.D. has been wanting to learn to ride a bike without training wheels for a while, but he didn't really get motivated until he had help from his older next door neighbor and friend, Nicole. (Isn't it amazing that kids will learn some things better from anyone other than their parents?). So, with her help and encouragement and with his Dad's help, too, on one of the really nice weather afternoons we had at the end of January (before it got cold again), he finally learned. I was able to get a short video of him riding. He has actually improved a lot since then and is riding even better.
Now Jake is motivated to try to ride his bike without training wheels and hopes to be riding with J.D. soon.
