Happy Easter!

We had a fun Easter. We went to a neighborhood Easter egg hunt on Saturday (but missed the actual hunt part), so we had our own hunt with our neighbors on Sunday afternoon and the kids had a lot of fun with that. Joey wasn't into it much, but Jake and J.D. really enjoyed it.

J.D. was really excited when he went downstairs and found his Easter bucket. He came upstairs all excited because he got a Backyardigans bucket and sand tools and was so excited that the Easter Bunny knew that Backyardigans was his favorite show. He thought it was "Outstanding!" (Jake got a "Racer Car" (Cars) bucket and Joey got Diego by default.)

Here are some pics from our Easter celebration:

Our neighbors had some confetti eggs (apparently this is a Texas thing--real eggs emptied, colored, and filled with confetti that you smash on other people and the confetti comes out). Jake was really getting into it and kept smashing them on his own head. It was pretty funny.

J.D. -- he was the only kid really into it and found almost all of the eggs.

Interesting Texas tradition...might have to try that one!
