Why is that Guy Standing in Front of the Alamo?

Since we moved to Texas a little over a year ago, we have visited the Alamo in San Antonio twice. Once with Great-Grandma Laub, Great-Uncle Gene, Grandma Campbell, and Aunt Megan (but without Daddy) in August:

And once with Nana Corbett, Uncle Mike, Aunt Michelle, and cousins Alisha, Brittany, Jamie, and Josh (this time with Daddy) in December:

I was watching the CBS evening news a couple of nights ago and there was coverage of the Texas Primary. One of the reporters was standing in front of the Alamo, but you could only see the lower half, not the whole thing. J.D. walked in the room and looked at the T.V. and said, "Mommy, why is that guy standing in front of the Alamo?" I was pretty impressed that he knew what the lower half of the Alamo looked like from visiting it just a couple of times. It must have made quite an impression on him!
